Job summary

Senior Lifestyle Corporation is seeking a Social Services Assistant in Auburn, ME to support residents and their families by delivering a comprehensive social services program and guiding staff in residency advocacy and rights protection. This role collaborates with the Director of Social Services and interdisciplinary teams to meet residents’ psychosocial needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Area of Study: Social Services preferred.
• Years of Experience: 1+ years in social services or related field.
• Language Skills: fluent English to perform duties.
• Technical Competencies: Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assessments and identify residents' psychosocial needs and plan meeting approaches.
• Assist in promoting staff sensitivity to residents' needs through education.
• Complete sections of the Minimum Data Sheet (MDS) accurately and timely.
• Contribute to social care components of the Comprehensive Care Plan within seven days of MDS completion.
• Support problem-solving processes to achieve positive resident outcomes.
• Apply knowledge of residents’ rights in service delivery.
• Liaise with social, health, and community agencies.
