Job summary

Western Home Communities seeks a compassionate Transportation Assistant II (CDL) to safely transport residents to appointments, events, activities, and outings across Cedar Falls, Jesup, Grundy Center, Ackley, and Madrid. The role offers flexible hours (8–24 hours per week) with meaningful one-on-one resident interaction and a focus on safe, courteous service.

Requirements include CDL with passenger endorsement; CPR certification or willingness to obtain; and a high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger endorsement required.
• Comfortable driving longer distances up to ~4 hours round-trip.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Safe driving record meeting insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to appointments, events, activities, and outings.
• Drive groups up to 24 passengers including ambulatory and wheelchair residents.
• Complete required documentation for services promptly.
• Assist residents with loading/unloading and mobility equipment.
• Provide friendly, positive interactions to enhance resident experience.
• Operate vehicles safely and maintain passenger comfort and safety.
