Job summary

Western Home Communities is seeking a compassionate Transportation Assistant II (CDL) to safely transport residents to appointments, events, and activities across Cedar Falls, Jesup, Grundy Center, Ackley, and Madrid. Flexible hours, 8–24 per week, with opportunities for meaningful one-on-one interactions.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, operating vehicles safely, and completing required documentation while maintaining passenger comfort and a positive experience.

Qualifications

• CDL with passenger endorsement required.
• Comfortable driving longer trips up to ~4 hours round-trip.
• CPR certified or willing to obtain.
• Ability to assist residents with mobility needs.

Responsibilities

• Transportation duties may include driving groups of up to 24 passengers to destinations in IA as needed.
• Provide punctual transportation services for residents to appointments, events and activities.
• Complete required documentation for services in a timely manner.
• Assist residents with loading/unloading including medical equipment.
• Interact with residents in a friendly and positive demeaner, supporting engaging experiences.
• Operate transportation vehicles safely while ensuring passenger comfort and security.
