Job summary

Journey in Statesboro, GA is seeking a dedicated Transportation Care Team member to safely transport residents to medical appointments, social events, and activities within the facility. You will assist residents with boarding, securing mobility devices, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness and safety.

Qualified candidates have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and experience in healthcare or senior living transportation.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's license and clean driving record with background check and drug screening.
• Previous transportation experience, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Basic knowledge of wheelchair lifts and securing mobility devices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; respectful with residents.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, social outings and events.
• Assist residents with boarding/exiting vehicle and securing wheelchairs/walkers.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and facility transportation policies.
• Coordinate with nursing/administration about transportation schedules and needs.
• Provide a positive, friendly resident experience during transportation.
• Assist with other duties to support resident mobility and engagement.
