Mission Senior Living is seeking a Transportation Driver to escort community residents to medical appointments, activities, and errands using the on-site vehicle. The role requires maintaining mobility schedules, prioritizing resident safety, and assisting with emergency or unscheduled transport when needed.

The ideal candidate holds a valid state driver’s license with a clean record, can handle long periods of driving or standing, and adheres to universal precautions for health and safety.

Qualifications

• Has current state driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Able to spend long periods on feet or driving, and to react quickly in any situation.
• Physical Demands: Push, pull, and lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to bend, squat, and climb stairs.
• Ability to continuously walk or stand.
• Universal Precautions: Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids and diseases.

Responsibilities

• Transports community residents to and from medical appointments, activities, and shopping using a community vehicle.
• Reads transportation schedule daily and ensures all appointments can be met.
• Encourages residents to schedule at least 24 hours in advance and plans around designated days.
• Duties include flexible handling of unscheduled transportation needs and emergencies.
• Completes routine vehicle inspections and reports maintenance or safety issues.
