Job summary

Western Slope Health Center is seeking a dependable Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to medical appointments, activities, and community outings. This role emphasizes resident dignity, safety, and comfort on every trip.

The ideal candidate has experience with resident transfers, wheelchair securement, and adheres to safety procedures in a skilled nursing environment. A valid license and GPS familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation and local roads.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to scheduled medical appointments, activities, and community outings.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles.
• Assist with transferring residents into and out of wheelchairs and securing wheelchairs in vehicle bays.
• Demonstrate competency in safe transfer techniques and wheelchair securement.
• Follow safety procedures and transfer techniques for mobility needs.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and document maintenance issues.
