Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Resident Transportation Driver for a full-time day shift at Washington Healthcare in Indiana. This role involves safe transportation of residents to medical appointments, community outings, and activities, with responsibilities including assisting residents on/off the bus and operating mobility equipment.

CPR/First Aid is preferred. Applicants must be 25+ with a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 25 years of age.
• Current driver's license in good standing.
• High school diploma/GED, related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport residents to and from medical appointments, outings, activities, and other community destinations.
• Assist residents safely on and off the bus, including those using wheelchairs or mobility devices.
• Safely operate wheelchair ramps, lifts, tie-downs, and other transportation equipment.
• Coordinate resident drop-offs and pick-ups with the Bethany Village team.
• Keep the bus clean, fueled, organized, and ready for transportation.
• Complete routine vehicle safety checks and report maintenance or repair needs.
• Assist the Activities team with resident outings, events, and activities as needed.
• Provide a friendly, respectful, and supportive experience for residents while traveling.
