Job summary

Westhab Inc. Bronx location is seeking a full-time Driver to safely transport residents and staff to appointments, program sites, and events. You will operate Westhab vehicles and coordinate with site staff to support housing services.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a clean driver’s license, at least two years of related experience, and the ability to pass the Commercial License test within two months of hire. Some weekend/evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent English and Math skills required.
• Two years related experience.
• Clean driver’s license.
• Able to pass Commercial License test within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Drive Westhab residents and staff as directed for emergency transport, clinic visits, food pantry runs, site movements, and other Westhab business.
• Perform daily vehicle checks; log fuel and fluids and report issues.
• Notify Facility Manager of vehicle accidents or maintenance needs.
• Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors as needed.
• Ensure vehicle registration and inspections are current; renew before expiration.
• Drive to service and inspection appointments.
• Other duties as assigned.
