Job summary

LakeHouse Senior Living is looking for a dedicated driver to provide safe and courteous transportation for residents to appointments and activities. You will assist passengers, including those who are disabled, and ensure wheelchairs are secured properly during trips.

You will also perform routine vehicle maintenance and updates. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and prior customer service experience.

• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from appointments.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of vehicles.
• Secure passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trips.
• Safely operate radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles.
• Maintain community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewals.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition monthly and per trip.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing timely and courteous transportation for the residents to and from various appointments while providing quality service.
• Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Safely operates radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assists with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
• Inspects and documents vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current driver's license is required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.
