Job summary

LakeHouse Senior Living in Chippewa Falls is seeking a transportation driver to provide timely and courteous transport for residents to appointments and events. The role requires assisting disabled passengers, securing wheelchairs, and maintaining vehicle readiness.

Candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be 21+ with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Prior customer service experience in a senior living setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from appointments.
  • Assist disabled passengers in getting into and out of the vehicle.
  • Secure wheelchairs to restraining devices and ensure stability during trips.
  • Safely operate radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station and other vehicles.
  • Maintain all community vehicles in good working condition.
  • Clean and service vehicles with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
  • Assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewals.
  • Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per-trip basis.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing timely and courteous transportation for the residents to and from various appointments while providing quality service.
  • Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
  • Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
  • Safely operates radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
  • Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition.
  • Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
  • Assists with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
  • Inspects and documents vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Current driver’s license is required with an acceptable driving record in accordance with Federal Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
  • Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
  • Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.
