The Guest House Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation in SHREVEPORT, LA is seeking a Transportation Aide to safely move residents to appointments, therapy, and outings. You will support mobility, communication, and non-clinical tasks during transport while upholding dignity and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with transfers, securing passengers, maintaining logs, and collaborating with nursing staff. High school diploma preferred; training provided for safety basics.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of resident safety and mobility assistance (training provided).
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Mansioni

• Safely transport residents to medical appointments, therapy visits, and outings using facility vehicles.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles, including wheelchairs and walkers.
• Ensure residents are properly secured with seat belts or restraints prior to transport.
• Communicate with residents, families, and healthcare providers regarding transport needs.
• Maintain transportation logs and related documentation.
• Monitor residents during transport and report changes to nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facility vehicles and report maintenance needs.
• Follow facility policies, HIPAA guidelines, and regulations.
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate assistance at all times.
• Assist with other non-clinical duties as assigned.
