Job summary

Monarch Communities is hiring a Community Driver/Life Enrichment Assistant to transport residents to medical appointments, events, and shopping while supporting the activities team with programming. The role runs Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm with weekend availability and pays $21.50–$22.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include vehicle safety checks, maintaining records, assisting with setup for activities, and delivering engaging resident programs.

Qualifications

• One to two years related experience as a driver for seniors is preferred.
• Candidates must hold a valid driver's license with a current Passenger Endorsement through the state of Connecticut.
• An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required. All candidates receiving a conditional offer of employment will be subject to an MVR review prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Drives residents to and from medical appointments, local events and shopping.
• Ensures the vehicle is inspected before each use to ensure it is safe and clean prior to leaving the community.
• Maintains preventive maintenance and other maintenance as required in a timely manner.
• Verifies passengers and equipment are safely secured prior to departure.
• Keeps accurate records of inspections, maintenance, and resident attendance.
• Assists in setting up tables/chairs for resident activities and conducts activities and programming for residents.
• Participates in in-service trainings and complies with all regulations and community policies.
