Job summary

Monarch Communities in Paramus, NJ is seeking a friendly driver to transport residents to doctor appointments, outings, and shopping. This part-time role requires a clean CDL and good safety record. You will assist residents in getting in and out of the vehicle, and ensure comfort during trips.

Expect a 20-hour weekly schedule with hourly pay ranging from $18.50 to $19.00. Prior experience with the elderly and a high school diploma (or higher) are preferred.

Qualifications

• Clean CDL required and safe driving record.
• Assist residents on and off the vehicle.
• One to two years experience with the elderly preferred.
• High school diploma or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive residents to doctor appointments, outings, shopping, and scenic drives.
• Assist residents getting in and out of the vehicle.
• Maintain safety and comfort during transport.
• Support residents with mobility needs as required.

Job Description

We are an assisted living community looking for a friendly and cheerful person who will be driving residents to and from doctor appointments, recreational outings, shopping excursions, and scenic drives.

Schedule

20 hours per week - flexible

Salary

$18.50-$19.00 hourly

Qualifications

• Clean Driver's license record and have a CDL.
• Ability to assist residents on and off vehicle.
• One to two years related experience working with the elderly.
• High school diploma or higher education preferred.

Additional Information

Physical Abilities:

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. The associate must use proper body mechanics.
