Job summary

The Waters of Castleton is seeking a Transportation/Facility Bus Driver who will ensure the safe transit of residents and staff, under the Transportation Director's supervision. The role includes daily vehicle checks, mileage logging, and coordinating passenger transport within the facility’s schedule.

Responsibilities emphasize safety, punctuality, and professional appearance, with adherence to state and federal regulations.

Qualifications

Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record (No DUI convictions in the past 10 years).
Must have a high school diploma or GED and will be at minimum CPR certified – CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport residents/staff to designated areas as required and schedule appointments during shift.
Maintain a professional appearance and accommodate residents and staff.
Report to work as scheduled and attend mandatory meetings.
Observe speed limits, wear seat belts, and ensure all bus passengers are safely seated.
Complete daily and monthly mileage logs and bus/van checklists.
Coordinate with transportation staff to arrange supervision when needed.
Maintain the bus/van log and ensure records are filed as required.
Notify maintenance for any safety concerns and log issues promptly.
Keep the vehicle clean and perform routine maintenance checks.
Assist with duties as assigned by Maintenance Director or Administrator.
