Job summary

Friends of Switchpoint is seeking a Behavioral Tech for a part-time, day shift (7 am–3 pm) at our Salt Lake City facility. The role supports residents, maintains logs, coordinates care with staff, and upholds Switchpoint values.

The position emphasizes customer service, safety, and incident documentation, with duties including light cleaning, monitor tasks, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement Switchpoint’s mission and values, and adhere to Staff Code of Conduct and policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service to all residents of the facility.
• Keep a daily log of occurrences within the facility on each shift.
• Note any special requirements and needs that guests may have (Special diets, ADA accommodations) and coordinate with management.
• Update maintenance log with resident requests and pass to maintenance staff.
• Listen to residents’ needs and respond appropriately.
• Reconcile and report monetary funds, petty cash and other expenditures daily.
• Report resident concerns to the Director/Manager or leadership team.
• Demonstrate a passion for customer service with residents, staff, and community members.
• Laundry duties (Bedding when needed).
• Simple cleaning (Public bathroom, sweeping, mopping).
• Monitor cameras and log activity.
• Complete perimeter checks and building walkthroughs for safety; log concerns.
• Handle security issues by contacting non-emergency or 911 as needed.
• May be required to lift up to 50lbs periodically.
• Other duties as assigned.
