Job summary

The Charles River Center in Easton, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor to develop and implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and provide direct care, training, and support to residents in a group home setting.

This role requires assisting with personal care, daily living activities, transportation to activities and medical appointments, and promoting residents' skills and independence while maintaining dignity and rights.

Qualifications

• GED or equivalent; mandatory educational baseline.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Completion of state and agency mandated trainings within specified timelines (First Aid/CPR, DDS Medication Administration, Safety Care, DPPC/Human Rights, New Hire Orientation).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and supervision in daily living contexts.
• Develop, implement, and review ISPs; track resident progress.
• Transport residents to activities and medical appointments.
• Complete required documentation and reporting per agency policies.
• Lead weekly house meetings on recreation, meals, rules, and resident concerns.
• Maintain financial records for residents and program funds; ensure compliance with regulations.
