Job summary

HELP of Southern Nevada is seeking a BETterment - Resident Assistant in Las Vegas to support residents and families in achieving independence through direct services and daily living skills training.

The role involves coordinating services, maintaining a therapeutic environment, and assisting with documentation, incidents, and group activities. A high school diploma and basic computer skills are required, with prior social services experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of empowerment and self-advocacy techniques.
• Experience facilitating support groups is preferred.
• Experience working with homeless and/or Residents preferred.
• Professional manner and appearance.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Ability to take direction.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of clients, staff, and community members.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.

Responsibilities

• Maintains harmonious atmosphere by liaising between clinical and program staff and the therapeutic community.
• Establishes rapport and professional boundaries with clients.
• Coordinates individual and group services to help Residents achieve goals.
• De-escalates problematic behaviors and submits incident reports to the Program Manager.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and maintains confidential client files.
• Attends team meetings and trainings; maintains time sheets and logs.
• Transports clients to appointments and coordinates community resources.
• Facilitates life skills classes and supports daily living skills.
