Job summary

HELP of Southern Nevada is seeking a dedicated employment services assistant to support clients as they navigate the agency’s employment programs. You will conduct personalized career counseling, help prepare resumes and applications, and document progress in HMIS and other required systems.

The role involves collaboration with housing case managers, delivering job-readiness classes, and connecting clients to community resources and employers to promote stable employment and housing outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus social services/Human Resources experience.
• Knowledge of workforce reentry programs and services is preferred.
• Background check and pre-employment drug screening required.
• NV driver’s license and clean DMV record required.

Responsibilities

• Engage participants verbally and in writing with a professional, respectful approach.
• Meet participants in housing programs to support employment readiness and housing stability.
• Assess goals, barriers, and service needs including work history and skills gaps.
• Provide coaching to strengthen job search strategies and interview skills.
• Assist with resumes, cover letters, and online job applications.
