Job summary

McLaren Health System is seeking a Dietary Service Aide to assist in food preparation and resident meal service on site. You will help with substitutions, ensure diet instructions are followed, and maintain sanitation and safe storage of all kitchen items.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous customer service and dining service experience preferred.
• Must communicate in English; be team oriented; possess basic math and organizational skills; capable of working independently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assists in food preparation and service to residents.
• Prepares and delivers substitutions and assists with meal trays.
• Ensures sanitation, storage, and proper temperatures of food and equipment.
• Assists residents and staff with menu questions and concerns and supports modified diets.
• Manages inventory and may fill kitchen stock orders; performs dishwashing and cleaning.
• Documents temperatures and reports discrepancies to supervisor.
