Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking Resident Specialists in Detroit to be the first staff at entry for our Veterans Housing Program. You will oversee safety, guidance, and support for residents, guests, volunteers, and staff across the building, ensuring a safe, healthy experience during participation in the program.

You will collaborate with case managers, kitchen staff, facilities, and the program manager to maintain day-to-day operations and activities, including overnight coverage and shift

SUMMARY:

Resident Specialists will be the first staff at point of entry for our Detroit Veterans Housing Program. Resident Specialists will provide oversight, safety, guidance, and support to our residents, guests, volunteers, and staff located throughout the building. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that residents have a supportive, safe, and healthy experience during their time in our program. Resident Specialists will work directly with case managers, kitchen staff, facilities, and the program manager to ensure day-to-day operations and activity.

SCHEDULE:

• 3rd Shift / Overnights - 9:30pm - 7:30am (4 10-hour shifts a week)
• May require weekend and/or holiday shifts
• May be required to assist with scheduling shortages when needed
