Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern CA Division is seeking a Program Support at SB Hospitality House in Santa Barbara. The role focuses on clerical tasks, resident wellbeing, safety, and coordinating facility upkeep, including meals.

Hours are full-time with a hourly rate of $17.27 USD. The position requires strong English communication, basic MS Word/Excel skills, and a background check. Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and one year experience in residential services for adults.
• Experience with people in recovery, mentally ill and/or homeless preferred.
• Must pass a complete and satisfactory background check.
• Driver's license preferred (Class C) and able to pass TSA Driving Test.
• Current CPR Certificate.
• Commitment to confidentiality and high ethical standards.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies.
• Must pass a health examination.

Responsibilities

• Direct residents and visitors to the correct staff member and provide approved information.
• Provide clerical support: statistics, attendance rosters, mail distribution, and recordkeeping.
• Monitor wellbeing of residents and safety of the facility.
• Enforce House Rules in a professional, respectful manner.
• Assist in facility upkeep, preventive maintenance, and meals when needed.
• Maintain accurate Shift Reports and timesheets; provide on-call support as needed.
• Respond to emergencies per policy and notify staff immediately.
• Collaborate with Operations Manager on program duties as required.
