Job summary

The Michaels Organization in Bloomington, IL seeks an Assistant Community Manager to support property operations, leasing, and administration under the supervision of the Community Manager.

Responsibilities include recertifications, showing units, marketing campaigns, lease processing, and coordinating with vendors, while upholding federal and state housing laws and company policies. Evening/weekend may be required.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience with residential real estate management.
• Tax Credit, Section 8 and/or Public Housing experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two or more years of college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Show vacant units and market property amenities.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns for leasing of rental units and prepare lease agreements.
• Assist Community Manager with filing court documents for eviction; attend court hearings when needed.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable and collections efforts.
• Order office supplies for property and manage vendor relationships.
• Track rental inquiries and log all applications for unit rental.
• Initiate, track and close work orders for property maintenance.
