Job summary

The Michaels Organization in Bloomington, IL is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to support leasing, administration, and maintenance of a residential property. The role includes recertifications, handling inquiries, showing units, and coordinating lease processes to keep operations compliant and competitive.

Responsibilities span working with accounts, marketing campaigns, and court-related tasks under supervision, with evening or weekend work sometimes required.

Qualifications

• One or more years’ experience with residential real estate management.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; two or more years of college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform recertification interviews with residents and handle paperwork.
• Track rental inquiries and log all applications.
• Show vacant units and market property amenities.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivables and collections.
• Assist with eviction filings and court appearances when needed.
• Coordinate leasing campaigns, leases, and related forms.
• Coordinate messaging service and follow-up on calls.
• Stay current with laws related to residential rental properties and company processes.
• Order office supplies for the property as needed.
• Initiate, track and close work orders in property systems.
• Assist with other tasks as required.
