Job summary

YMCA of Reading & Berks County in Reading, PA is seeking a dependable Case Manager Assistant to support residents and daily operations in housing programs. You will monitor housing areas, assist with orientation, and help residents pursue goals related to recovery, employment, and housing while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

You will coordinate chores, conduct room inspections, document activities, provide transportation, and participate in meetings.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications current.
• Clear spoken and written English communication.
• Ability to maintain accurate daily logs and records.

Responsibilities

• Monitor housing areas and program activities during shifts.
• Assist with resident orientation and explain house rules.
• Support residents’ progress toward goals and report updates to Case Manager.
• Coordinate chores, inspect rooms, and report violations promptly.
• Maintain daily logs of activities, conditions, incidents.
• Provide transportation and supervise group/therapeutic activities.
• Conduct drug and alcohol screenings as required.
• Respond to crises following established procedures.
• Participate in house and staff meetings with housing leadership.
