Job summary

Central City Concern is hiring a Community Building Assistant in Happy Valley, Oregon. The role focuses on maintaining clean, safe buildings, aiding residents, and coordinating with property management and supportive housing staff.

It supports a two-story program with rent subsidies through Clackamas County Behavioral Health. The schedule runs Saturday through Wednesday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with Fridays off.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and understand English.
• Must not be a registered sex offender.
• Must have basic computer skills including Word, Excel, Email, and basic file management.
• Must generally have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, reach, pull, and lift heavy objects and climb stairs with reasonable or no accommodation.
• Ability to adhere to drug-free workplace policies and pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high-quality, comfortable, and safe living environment in buildings.
• Perform building upkeep, room inventory, room turnover, and routine pest control measures.
• Greet residents and visitors, provide information to staff, and coordinate with building staff.
• Clean lobby, hallways, offices, bathrooms, common areas, and ensure overall cleanliness and safety.
