Job summary

Central City Concern in Portland, OR, is seeking a dedicated janitorial/maintenance associate to clean and maintain multi-family and residential buildings, parking areas, and surrounding grounds. You will be part of the housing team and support daily operations, safety, and tenant comfort.

The role includes cleaning duties, pest-control follow-up, inventory, light repairs, and coordination with the Community Manager. Driving required; schedule Tue–Sat 7:00am–3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or ability to obtain within one year.
• Six months experience and/or training in interior/exterior janitorial work.
• Must possess a current driver's license and pass DMV background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and support to staff as needed.
• Maintain exterior of buildings and grounds to enhance curb appeal and safety.
• Maintain common area flooring and perform cleaning tasks.
• Enter work orders into Yardi and manage maintenance requests.
• Coordinate access for contractors and vendors for preventive maintenance.
• Greet residents and answer queries; provide information to staff.
• Monitor security cameras and ensure safety.
