Job summary

Excel Care in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations, guide dietary staff, and ensure safe, high-quality meal service for residents. This role supports resident health and satisfaction, coordinates with nursing and clinical teams, and helps ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations.

Schedule: 11am–7:30pm, includes weekends, at 2801 W 6th St. We offer Health, Dental and Vision insurance, a 401(k) with up to 5% matching, PTO, daily

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations and dietary guidelines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule dietary staff to ensure daily operations
• Monitor food preparation and service for quality, safety, and compliance
• Assist in menu planning and special dietary accommodations
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections and maintain sanitation standards
• Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching and support
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering supplies
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to meet resident needs
• Ensure compliance with state and federal dietary regulations
