Job summary

Excelcare Health Management at Newark is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations, guide dietary staff, and ensure safe, high-quality meal service for our residents.

As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work with nursing and clinical staff to meet resident needs, monitor menus, ensure sanitation and regulatory compliance, and train new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations and dietary guidelines.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule dietary staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Monitor food preparation and service for quality, safety, and compliance
• Assist in menu planning and special dietary accommodations
• Conduct daily kitchen inspections and maintain sanitation standards
