Job summary

Storybrook Care & Rehabilitation is seeking a caring Nursing Assistant in Fort Collins, CO to support licensed nursing staff in a skilled nursing facility. This role includes 1:1 sitter duties, companionship, and supervision, with a pay rate of $17.00–$20.00 per hour depending on experience.

No certification is required, but a sincere desire to serve the elderly and a commitment to safety, comfort, and dignity are essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Healthcare or caregiving experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and staff.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
  • Dependability and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, especially those requiring sitter care.
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Support nursing staff with non-clinical tasks such as transporting residents, restocking supplies, and assisting during mealtimes.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights and dignity.

Work Schedule: PRN
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $20.00 / hour depending on experience
JOB DUTIES:
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, especially those requiring sitter care.
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Support nursing staff with non-clinical tasks such as transporting residents, restocking supplies, and assisting during mealtimes.
  • Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold resident rights and dignity.
REQUIREMENTS /EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving setting is a plus but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and staff
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and assist residents as needed
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.

  • Ability to remain calm and attentive in challenging situations.
