POSITION TITLE:
RESIDENT MOVE-IN COORDINATOR
POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages the entire moving process for new residents, serving as the main point of contact to ensure a smooth and stress-free transition
REPORTS TO:
ADMINISTRATOR
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new residents, addressing questions and providing them with important information about their new home.
- Develop and maintain a good working relationship with families, residents and community staff
- Ability to use software programs efficiently and with accuracy
- Treat each resident with dignity and respect
- Create a sense of trust with residents, families and community staff
- Communicates any special needs of the incoming resident to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule, organize and work with members of the team to ensure smooth transition into community
- Understands the needs of seniors and the aging process
- Assist resident with dining services program by reviewing menu options, bringing to dining room for mealtimes, introducing to other tablemates and working with dining department to meet dietary preferences
- Assist resident with social engagement program to include bringing resident to activities of choice and encouraging participation
- Complete frequent check in on resident for first 10-days after move into community
- Assist resident with settling into new apartment to include unpacking, set up of apartment, familiarizing with use of pendant, apartment surroundings, emergency evacuation and precautions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to teach/train others effectively.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
Experience in property management or customer service, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of and interest in working with older adults required. Strong communication skills.
