Salary: $25.00+ per hour, based on experience + Commission Per Move‑In

Overview:

The Move‑in Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a successful, warm, and welcoming transition for each resident into their new home. Recognizing that major changes can be challenging for seniors, the Move‑in Coordinator must be compassionate, organized, and detail‑oriented in fulfilling their duties.

What will you do as the Move‑In Coordinator?
  • Communicate with residents and their families to complete all required paperwork prior to moving in.
  • Assist in preparing the residency agreement and provide this document to the Executive Director prior to the lease signing.
  • Assist residents and families with moving arrangements and coordination of calendar dates and schedules.
  • Coordinate with all departments, pharmacies, physicians, rehab providers and other providers as appropriate to ensure that new residents’ needs are met.
  • Complete and distribute a Move‑in‑at‑a‑Glance document that shares information about the residents’ background with all departments and Kensington Senior Living partners.
  • Orient new residents and their families to their new home. Introduce the residents to staff members and other residents. Conduct tours to orient residents to public spaces and review key hours of service.
  • Check in with new residents and their families frequently during the first two weeks of their residency to offer assistance and support.
  • Conduct the Two‑Week Meeting with families and residents after which the neighborhood director becomes the main point of contact for the family.
  • Observe and report any concerns about the residents’ transition to the appropriate department head and Executive Director.
  • Gather feedback from residents and their families on how the move‑in process was carried out and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Attend training courses and participate in other professional development activities as required.
Pre‑Employment Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check in the state of employment.
  • Demonstrate freedom from Tuberculosis by PPD/TB test or chest x‑ray, documenting the absence of tuberculosis in a communicable form prior to employment.
  • Pass a pre‑employment drug test.
Knowledge & Skill:
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team‑based environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Possess excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and ability to learn new database programs.
  • Knowledge of appropriate Federal and State regulations pertaining to Senior Living.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must maintain a clean and well‑groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to clearly and proficiently communicate with people of all ages and abilities, displaying consideration of their rights and sensitivities, while maintaining an energetic, positive attitude.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
  • The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to push a minimum of 200 pounds and be able to push such weight a minimum distance of 200 feet.
  • May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during an emergency.
  • Work areas may be subject to noise, distractions, and interruptions; an ability to remain calm and positive in stressful situations is required.
