Job summary

Dismas Charities Inc in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an entry-level Resident Monitor to oversee custody, security, and daily operations of the facility and residents. This role includes monitoring resident behavior, enforcing rules, and documenting activities with a focus on safety and accountability.

The position involves shift coverage (1st/2nd/3rd, plus on-call), program support with counselors, and routine housekeeping.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; demonstrated ability to work with individuals and groups in routine and emergencies.
• One year of paid work experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitors residents and enforces rules within the facility and community; handles money, subsistence, medications, mail, visitors and calls.
• Assists counselors with resident programming and monitoring activities.
• Conducts internal and external inspections to maintain health, safety and accountability; ensures sanitation.
• Follows procedures and policies in manuals; handles life safety, drills and unusual occurrence procedures.
• Works shifts as needed, attends required meetings, and may be reassigned without notice.
• General housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming and trash disposal.
• Other duties may be assigned by the Director as needed.
