This position is responsible for: Oversees, accepts, and processes residents staying in shelter overnight. Monitors the behavior and activity of residents participating in recovery/housing program on an assigned shift ensuring safety, security, and compliance to house rules. Guards the security and the safety of Salvation Army facilities and buildings to ensure compliance with housing rules and policies and to protect the safety of staff and clients.
Work requires performance of duties in social services environments where exposure to communicable & infectious diseases are possible.
Ability to perform combinations of sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking on a frequent change basis. Distance usually within same building
Ability to respond to emergencies in a calm and effective manner
