Job summary

DeCoach Recovery in Fairborn, OH is seeking a Resident Monitor to support a safe, structured living environment during the 7pm–7am shift. This full-time clerical role focuses on non-clinical client support, crisis intervention, and daily documentation.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain client confidentiality at all times.
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients and fellow staff.
• Keep documentation up to date according to policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, secure, structured milieu as a non-clinical resource.
• Maintain written documentation and reports on client activity and behavior.
• Assist with facilities maintenance and report issues to Supervisor.
• Perform administrative tasks: answering phones, greeting guests, copying, and filing.
• Transport clients to offsite meetings/activities as needed.
• Participate in monthly supervision and required training programs.
• Facilitate required groups and structured activities.
• Conduct 30-minute shift handovers and pass along keys to incoming staff.
• Perform other duties as requested.

The Need:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate resident montiors to join our team. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative team environment, providing therapeutic interventions to individuals struggling with behavioral health challenges. As a resident monitor, you will have the opportunity to help clients overcome barriers, provide solution-focused interventions, and make a meaningful impact by saving lives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe, secure, structured milieu
• Act as a non-clinical resourcefor clients, for example; provide crisis intervention, be an active listener to client, answer non-clinical questions for client
• Maintain appropriate written documentation and written and/or verbal reports on client activity and behavior
• Perform any required facilities maintenanceand/or report issues to Supervisor
• Perform administrative office tasks, as example: client chart reviews, answering phones, greeting guests, copying, and filing
• Transportclients to offsite meetings/activities, as needed
• Participate in monthly individual supervision
• Participate in all required training programs
• Facilitate required groups and structured activities
• Participate in a 30-minute shift change, including giving or receiving verbal shift report and passing keys to incoming staff
• Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications:

• Required to be 21 years old, high school graduate or equivalent
• Take all steps and precautions possible to maintain and ensure client confidentiality
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries when interacting with clients and fellow co-workers
