Job summary

Platinum Communities is seeking a Medication Technician to provide high-quality personal care and safe medication administration in a residential setting. You will review ISPs, monitor conditions, and support multiple departments to ensure a clean, welcoming environment for residents.

Responsibilities include administering medications, maintaining records, mentoring new staff, and upholding HIPAA confidentiality. Must meet CBRF training requirements and be 18+ with a GED/high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of CBRF medication administration training and required CBRF core trainings (Standard Precautions, Fire Safety, First Aid/Choking, and Resident Rights).
• Ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications following the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and report changes.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation.
• Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and resident care.
• Aid in housekeeping and environment maintenance to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Mentor and train new caregiving staff during onboarding.
• Respect resident confidentiality per HIPAA and community policies.
• Attend mandatory meetings and participate in ongoing in-service training.
