Job summary

ABINGTON MANOR AT MORGAN HILL is seeking a Certified Medication Technician to support residents with safe medication management. You will work closely with nursing and wellness teams to ensure timely, accurate administration with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities include documenting in the EHR, monitoring for adverse reactions, and maintaining a clean medication area. A High School diploma and Medication Administration training are required; experience in long-term care is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a Medication Administration training program.
• One year of direct care experience with seniors in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications per physician orders and community protocols.
• Monitor residents for side effects and perform vital signs checks when needed.
• Maintain accurate records in the EHR system.
• Assist with medication inventory, ordering, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and staff while maintaining confidentiality.
• Collaborate with Wellness Director and care team to support individualized resident plans.
• Keep medication area clean, organized, and safe.
• Provide compassionate service respecting mobility, cognition, and sensory needs.
