Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality, taste, and presentation, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen that adheres to sanitation standards.

This full-time role requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to meet dietary requirements while interacting positively with residents and staff to enhance the dining experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
