Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a motivated Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality, taste, and presentation, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

You will collaborate with staff to meet dietary restrictions, assist with inventory and ordering, and provide friendly, responsive service to residents and guests while adhering to sanitation guidelines and training requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Must have ServSafe or Food Handler certification as per state/county law.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests; provide excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
