Job summary

Legacy Nursing in Louisiana is seeking a Laundry Aide to maintain clean clothing and linens for residents, manage labeling, and ensure items are returned to the correct resident. You will support daily operations in the Environmental Department and work under the Environmental/Laundry Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
• Freedom from use and effects of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
• Anyone found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in the position.
• Laundry experience preferred.
• LTC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Laundry Aide carries out departmental duties including gathering, sorting, washing, drying, folding, hanging, and return of resident clothing and linens.
• Maintains organization, cleanliness, and timely service.
• Reports issues with working order, cleanliness, and safety of department equipment.
• Ensures clothes are properly labeled and returned to the correct resident.
• Maintains confidentiality of department, resident, employee information and HIPAA compliance.

Education

Laundry experience preferred, LTC experience preferred
