Job summary

Evercare is seeking a Laundry Aide to manage day-to-day laundry operations in accordance with facility policies to ensure sanitary services for residents. The role reports to the Housekeeping Manager and collaborates with nursing staff to coordinate laundry across resident areas.

Responsibilities include operating washers/dryers, sorting and distributing clean laundry, upkeeping laundry rooms, following infection control protocols, and reporting equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled laundry, linens, and garments appropriately.
• Operate washers and dryers according to procedures.
• Fold, count, hang, and distribute clean laundry daily.
• Clean laundry rooms, floors, walls, and surfaces.
• Discard waste and reline containers per sanitation procedures.
• Ensure work areas are free from hazards.
• Store equipment and supplies properly.
• Coordinate laundry services with nursing staff as needed.
• Follow infection control protocols and use protective equipment.
• Ensure laundry equipment is cleaned and ready for the next shift.
• Report equipment malfunctions or hazards to supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Attend department meetings and training.
• Follow fire, disaster, and evacuation procedures.
• Submit time-off requests and supply sheets promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Manager or Administrator.]
