Job summary

Qualifications

• No experience required; 6+ months in programming/activities preferred.
• Ability to communicate and listen professionally to residents, guests, coworkers.
• Respect residents' dignity, privacy and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and implement resident lifestyle programming within the community as well as outside trips and events.
• Survey and interview residents to determine interests, talents, and satisfaction with programs.
• Recognize individuality, diversity, and spirituality when planning activities and celebrations.
• Develop relationships with residents to encourage participation in activities that enhance quality of life.
• Observe residents’ function and report significant changes or concerns to staff.
• Utilize outside resources and independent contractors to enrich programs.
• Assist with developing and managing the annual department budget.
• Assist with managing Resident Program Assistants in the absence of the Director of Resident Programs.
