Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife in Dedham, MA seeks a Program Coordinator to plan, implement, and coordinate holistic programs for Memory Support residents, addressing physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual needs. You will work with an interdisciplinary team and lead varied activities that promote quality of life.

You will maintain open communication with residents, families, and staff, and participate in orientation and staff meetings. Weekend or occasional evenings may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in memory care/community settings.
• Ability to plan and lead varied therapeutic programs.
• Strong communication with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and lead programs that enrich residents’ lives.
• Contribute to orientation of new residents to the community.
• Follow through on program goals and objectives as established by the team.
• Maintain open communication with staff, volunteers, interns, providers and families.
• Support community outings.
• Assess residents’ needs and abilities.
• Report changes in health or mental status.
• Maintain supplies for activities.
• Interact positively with residents, families, guests and staff.
• Be available for weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.
• Attend orientation and staff meetings; fulfill other duties as assigned.
