Job summary

Arcadia Care is seeking an Activity Aide to assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreational, social, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual programs in accordance with residents' assessments and care plans.

The role supports daily activity programs across the Activities Department, helps prepare spaces for programs, and oversees resident participation to enhance physical, social, and mental well-being. Opportunities include full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition & enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and charting for the daily activity programs & quality assurance for the Activities Department.
• Assist in preparing and cleaning up activity rooms/areas for scheduled activity programs.
• Assist in overseeing residents’ engagement in scheduled and unscheduled activities to promote the physical, social, and mental well-being of residents.
