Job summary

Arcadia Care is opening a new facility and seeks an Activity Director to design and lead diverse programs for residents, focusing on physical, mental, and psychosocial wellbeing. You will develop activities, oversee staff, and collaborate with families to support individual goals.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, coordinating with community partners, and delivering engaging activities that enhance quality of life for residents at the new center opening 9/1/2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of a training course for Activity Directors.
• 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program in a nursing facility.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan activities including group social, spiritual, creative/educational and exercise activities.
• Oversee Activity Aides and coordinate daily activity schedules.
• Review resident goals and progress notes and document MDS reports.
• Foster relationships with families and community partners to support the Activity department.
• Engage residents to support wellbeing and quality of life.
