Job summary

Health & Human Services Comm in Austin seeks a Resident Specialist III to oversee residential and workshop environments, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and environmental upkeep for residents at the Austin State Supported Living Center.

The role involves coordinating with facility staff, reporting deficiencies, and maintaining compliance with life safety standards. This is a full-time, day-shift position with competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

• Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
• Oversee the quality of resident living and workshop environments, and support services provided to clients in their living environments.
• Communicates with other residence and facility employees regarding environmental issues and plan remedies to overcome deficient practices identified.
• Maintains facility property, equipment, residents’ personal effects, home and workshop equipment, furniture, décor and interior and exterior environment.
• May train others.
• Other duties as assigned including disaster response and COOP activation.
