Job summary

CIEL OLNEY LLC seeks a Life Enrichment Assistant to develop and coordinate activity programs reflecting residents' varied interests, promoting meaningful, life-enriching activities inside and outside the community.

You will recruit and train volunteers, coordinate staff involvement, and create engaging calendars while supporting physical, social, intellectual, and artistic well-being for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating and coordinating activities for older adults.
• Ability to supervise, lead, and motivate people.
• Able to delegate responsibility while maintaining oversight of daily activities and major projects.
• Experience in volunteer recruitment and training preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed/scheduled.
• Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision to the elderly.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, preferred two years of college specializing in recreational activities.
• Must have strong understanding of the English language sufficient to read, write and interpret administrative information.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteer members and staff involvement in activities.
• Attend training courses and maintain up-to-date LMS training.
• Perform other duties that support resident care and happiness.
• Communicate with department supervisors about activity programs and events.
• Create daily/monthly activity calendars with dates, times, and locations.
• Coordinate and host all special events, including holiday events.
