Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Residential Living Coordinator in Student Housing. You will provide guidance on policies, crisis response, and community-building for a diverse resident population, under supervision of the Associate Director of Residence Life.

The role covers selecting, training, and evaluating student staff, managing programs and budgets, and collaborating with campus partners to support residents. Evening and weekend duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience
• Strong skills in advising and counseling within student services
• Ability to supervise staff and manage multiple projects
• Experience handling student conduct and policy interpretations
• Excellent communication in diverse settings
• Knowledge of student development in housing contexts

Responsibilities

• Assess student needs and determine appropriate actions or referrals
• Provide information and interpretation of policies and procedures
• Assist in developing community through resident engagement and staff supervision
• Oversee programming, budget management, and administrative duties
• Collaborate with campus units (PD, Counseling, Health Services) to support residents
