Job summary

Chicago Ridge SNF in Chicago Ridge, IL is seeking a full-time Activity Aide to support the daily activity calendar, assist with programs, and help residents engage in meaningful social and recreational activities.

You will work under the Activity Director, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering compassionate interactions with residents, families, and staff while promoting safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience, volunteer work, or exposure with disabled populations.
• Knowledge of federal and state activity regulations or ability to understand.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Bi-lingual abilities may be preferred depending on facility.
• Must have a valid IL driver's license.
• Ability to follow the activity calendar with punctuality and time management.
• Demonstrates empathy, compassion, and positive, engaging interaction with residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to work with ill, disabled, elderly and occasionally distressed individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily activity calendar execution under the Activity Director.
• Support and follow the Activity Program's mission, policies and procedures.
• Promote residents' quality of life by addressing psychosocial, medical, and activity needs.
