Qualifications

• Educational background: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Licenses/Certifications preferred: CRT, COTA, or Activity Assistant certified (NCCAP or state-specific).
• Experience preferred: 6 months in long-term care; 500+ hours in activity programming.

Responsibilities

• Assists Activities Manager as needed.
• Utilizes environment to provide comfort and stimulation to residents.
• Leads and participates in individual and group activities.
• Uses various modalities (normalization, pet/music/art therapy) for programming.
• Assists with decorating the facility and preparing events.
• Develops and posts monthly calendars for residents and families.
• Maintains activity records and attendance.
• Supports residents and families with comfort as needed.
