Job summary

Midwest Health in Minnesota seeks an Activities Assistant to implement an activity program that meets residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs. You will plan and facilitate large and small groups as well as individual participation, aligning with state and federal regulations.

You will maintain essential documentation, assist in assessments, prepare monthly calendars, and ensure safety and respectful treatment of residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds and perform mobility tasks.
• Must have regular attendance and be dependable.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Community's policies and procedures.
• Plan and implement activities to meet residents' needs.
• Maintain documentation as required by regulations.
• Assist in initial assessments and resident onboarding tasks.
• Prepare monthly activity calendars and post updates on boards.
• Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and fire safety regulations.
• Support Residents' Rights and respectful interactions with residents, families, and staff.
